I like my iPad

I do have a Ipad at home.  I charge it by the cord and it's black. I play games on iPad. I play bowling games on iPad. I swipe the finger to roll the ball towards the pins. Sometimes I play mine craft on the iPad. Youtube is an app that I use a lot too. I watch train video on iPad. I watch the elevator video on youtube.  I like to look at  foods  on the iPad.  I look at maps on the iPad.

Samsung's TV voice activated system

Samsung's smart TV says not to talk about private information around the TV. The reason the TV gives you that warning is because it has a voice activated system. There is an up side though to the voice activated system because it can recommend movies or say that you go to a certain channel. There is a microphone on the TV and on the remote so that your commands will be heard perfectly. If you do speak about private information around the TV that the information will be stored among the data and a third party will come in. You can easily disable the voice activated system.

Drones Capture Shots of a Lava Lake

The story that I chose to do for our blog was about some drones that took some pictures of a lava lake. But getting this footage wasn't as easy as you might think. Sometimes, the lava corroded the technology inside of the drones while they were taking pictures. Cossman, the man behind this activity, said that the drones could have literally melted if they got close to the lava lake. So, Cossman suited up in a heat-resistant outfit, and assisted the drones in taking pictures.
I chose to do this story because the pictures of the lava lake were pretty cool, and I think that it was amazing how they built drones to take pictures of the lava.

Beach Bot

Disney has made many inventions from theme parks to robots. One of there newest inventions was the Beach Bot.The Beach Bot is a beach robot that makes Disney drawings in the sand. The Beach Bot is 2 feet long and 15 inches wide and tall. It can fill a 30 square foot area of sand and have a Disney animation in it in just under 10 minutes. There are brush strokes towards the back on the bottom that is 2 to 15 inches wide that create the picture. Bulbous Ballon wheels make it possible for the Beach  Bot to traverse all types of sand that would leave not a mark or path of sand that would mark the sand.  The Beach Bot is just an amazing thing to see on the beach in all of the Disney Vacation spots in the world. You can see all of the characters in your favorite movies and just Disney designs.

The BeachBot

Disney has made a lot of cool inventions and now the mouse has made the BeachBot. The BeachBot is able to bring robots out of the theme parks and theaters and come out the the shores and sandboxes. As just under two feet long and 15 inches wide and tall, the BeachBot can make images from Finding Nemo and The Lion King. It only takes the BeachBot 10 minutes to make these images in the sand. The bot does have some limitations but not a lot. One of them is it you must have reflective posts in the sands by the humans so it knows where to draw the images in the sand. For fans who like Frozen characters instead of Finding Nemo, there is a new addition coming out with making new characters from different movies to draw in the sand by the BeachBot.

MacBook Air Falls 1,000ft From Plane And Still Works

This was an interesting story about how a MacBook Air fell out of a plane at about 1,000 ft, and still works! The canopy on the plane was flying popped open during a trip to South Africa. The pilot's bag flew out of the plane, it had his computer and some pieces of ID in it. A farm worker found the bag and tracked down the owner. Surprisingly there was little damage to the MacBook Air. It just has a shattered trackpad, some bent corners, and a broken cooling fan. The owner of the MacBook Air was impressed by the farmer's effort to return the computer and bag to him. As a result, he gave the farmer a reward to say thanks.

Do you ever feel like someone is watching you in your own house? If you have a Samsung Smart TV, then that may be a possibility. Smart TV’s can actually listen to what you’re saying! They have this cool new voice command feature that can record anything that you’re saying and play it to someone. There is a very small warning in the privacy policy telling you to be careful. People are starting to get worried because homes are supposed to be a place where you can say anything and feel comfortable about it. I have a Smart TV and I hope it didn't record anything I said because it's just creepy. Be careful about what you’re saying in front of your TV because you may night be the only one hearing it.

The Gim Ball

The Gim Ball is an amazing drone that does not hurt if you get hit or does not brake if it hits something or falls. I find this so amazing because It can really help explorers and other people by taking pictures of what they see without running into a tree and breaking. I would think that is what it is for. Actually the real reason they are doing this is to replicate an insect by the way they bump into things and keep flying. Running into things also helps them know where they are. It signals a GPS to navigate where it is. They are working on a way to have it go into buildings where there is a fire or something that it is not safe for people. If I had enough money I would definitely buy on, but I would use it for exploring.

NASA's Robot Ape

NASA has been making a robot ape. They have been building it because there was a contest. The robot doesn't have a head but does has seven cameras that look like eyes and have double duty legs and arms. They have been trying to build a robot for the twenty seven month-long robot building competition. They would have challenges to see if the robot is good to children, can drive a car, and walk up stairs. The winner would win two million dollars. I think the robot that NASA is making is pretty cool,  that it can help with children and drive cars.

Samsung Galaxy S6 display to reach into 3 sides!

Samsung may offer a Galaxy S6 with a display that you can view from all three sides. The front, left, and the right. Samsung has been hit by greater competition in the Smart phone arena, on both the high end and the low end. To help prevent this competition from being on the lower end of the situation, Samsung Company sent out invitations to a March 1st event at Mobile World Congress. The invitation showed a hint image of a partial curved device that read, "what's next!". This making an assumption that a new Samsung device is coming soon.
Im not really one for Samsung phones but i'm interested in what they will come up with.

Should Copying an App be Illegal

Have you ever scrolled through the App Store? If you have you may have noticed there are knock offs, or copies of games. For example Flappy Bird. How may rip offs have you seen of that game? A few seconds of scrolling and you'll see at least 5 copies.

Part of the problem is that anyone can publish a game. Maybe it's that it is simply easier to copy a game than to create your own original game. But is it fair for you to make up to millions of dollars copying someone else's original idea? Is it fair to make money doing such little work? You might say that is is no big deal, and that you make little money copying. This is wrong. Think of an app from the apple store. You probably thought of 2048. This game is actually a copy off of Threes created in february 2014.

I think it is wrong to copy an app. I do have the game 2048 on my iPod. I didn't know it was a copy. I also play Flappy bird. I knew this was having copywrite problems.

The Riddance of Unwanted Photos

In this story a clothes designer brand called BetaBrand designed a suit, scarf, and hoodie designed to obscure your face when their is camera flash. It can do this because it is fashioned with tiny reflective spheres that when a flash is created it lightens up. The cost of the clothes range from $50 to $400. The creator of the clothing knew that anti-tech clothing was coming into fashion and that is why he made the line of clothing. He thought that anything making people think twice about taking an unwanted picture of someone is good.

Robot Staffed Hotel!

Robot Staffed Hotel

The Henn-na Hotel is coming to Japan soon! Henn-na Hotel means strange hotel. Well why is this hotel strange? It is going to be staffed by robots! Apple is now worth more than Google and Microsoft combined

Apple is now worth more than Google and Microsoft combined! Google's market cap is $365.46 billion, and Microsoft's market cap is $349.89 billion, you get $715.35 from that, or $1 billion less than Apple's market cap.

I have always been a fan of Apple rather than Samsung or Android. The reason I think Apple is doing so good is because they make their projects easy to use. People are still in debate whether Apple can still keep it's crazy values going or not. I think Apple will be very successful for very long.

Man Buys MacBook an eBay, Just Gets a Picture of It

Paul Barrington bought a MacBook on eBay for around $460. Before he bought the MacBook he checked the sellers rating, he had a good rating and had been a seller for a few years, so Barrington had nothing to be suspicious about. When he opened the package with the laptop, all he found in the box was a picture of a MacBook. eBay promised to get Barrington's money back saying, "Bottom line, when you shop on eBay, we have your back." eBay also says that less than one percent of transactions on their website turn out like this one. But, nothing can be guaranteed on the internet.

Study Shows That IPhone Users Are Smarter Than Android Users

Are you an IPhone user? Great! There is a good chance that you are smarter than an Android user. An online advertising company named Chitika found that if you're an Apple IPhone user, you're probably smarter than the person right next to you. They also found that most college students use IPhones instead of Androids. Alaska, Montana, and Vermont have the greatest percentage of IPhone users, being at 66%. New Mexico, Iowa, and Delaware have the lowest percentage of IPhone users, being at 41%. The study also shows that if you use an IPhone, you are wealthier than other Android users. That's a good thing too, because 80% of Americans use IPhones.

Can Your TV Hear You?

Samsung's private policy for their smart televisions warns you to not say anything sensitive around the TV because it could be transmitted to a third party. If you do say anything private around your Samsung smart TV there is a chance it could be transmitted through voice recognition. But don't worry, you can easily disable the voice recognition so that will never happen to you.

I chose this story because i think it is interesting that technology has evolved so far that this has become a problem.

Netflix is working on a "Legends of Zelda" series

Are you a fan of the video game series the Legends of Zelda from Nintendo? Well if you are, then you will probably be excited about how Netflix is creating a new series, which is based on the same game from Nintendo! Netflix is saying that this new series is like a Game of Thrones for families, where Link attempts to save Princess Zelda and protects the land of Hyrule. The Legends of Zelda, is one of Nintendo's longest running game franchise since 1986, from the original Nintendo Entertainment System! But in the late 1980s, cartoons were also made for Super Mario Bros, and the original Legends of Zelda cartoon.

I think that this series would be great for fanboys and fangirls of all ages who love the Legends of Zelda game!! And for more details about the series, visit Usa Today!

No More Pictures

Betabrand's new line of illuminati clothes are stopping the paparazzi from taking embarrassing pictures. The company's illuminati clothes appear extremely bright in pictures and obscure the wearer's face. The illuminati clothes are covered in glass nanospheres and use the same kind of light reflecting materials running sneakers have.

I chose this story because I have seen all kinds of embarrassing photos in magazines and I thought it was really cool that there is clothing you can wear that stops people from taking unwanted photos. I also thought the science behind all of the materials in the clothing was very interesting. I cannot believe that someone thought of such a great way to stop embarrassing photos from being taken and shown to the world.

Robots Work At Singapore Restaurant Chain

At a restaurant chain called Timbre, there was a shortage of workers. The owner of these restaurants, Edward Chia, decided to address the situation. Timbre has hired drones, and to keep it human, has waiters collect the food off of the drones to give to the customers. It now decreases the labor that the workers had to do, and looks quite cool also. People do, however, have doubts about the drones. They think that they are a distraction from your meal, and you have to make sure that your hair doesn't get caught up in the drone. Also, the shipments of drones costs tens of thousands of dollars.

I found this story to be interesting and cool. I like how they made drones waiters, and addressed a shortage of workers. The drones can help lots of things, but they have their downsides, too.

3d printers or are they life savers

Man cut's off his fingers and he makes a prostatic hand with a 3d printer. This man was a carpenter and was working on a house in Illinois when he was cutting the rug and his hand got caught in the saw when he stood up he realized that all of his fingers were gone.Who knew that you could make something so useful with a 3d printer, apparently you can make a arm with a 3d printer and hopefully in the near future you could make more like a car or like a computer with a 3d printer. The man was finally able to make it so a id could shake his own fathers hand and if thats not amazing then i dint know what is. This invention is also really cool because it has help so many people in so many ways.

Samsungs Smart TV Can "Spy" On Your Conversations

This story is about a Smart TV by Samsung hat can hear your conversations as long as you are near it. Although in the privacy policy it says that be careful what you say near the TV because it will be recorded and put into 3rd party. This is scaring people with the TV because they don't want anybody hearing there personal conversations.  I think they should have the smart TV in their room instead of living room because the living room is somewhere where you should be able to talk about anything and everything. They say you also shouldn't talk about tax evasion, or drug use near it. It is important to note that although it can hear you talk, if you turn off the voice record feature, then it won't be able to listen to you.

People were also panicking about Siri on the Iphone 4s, 5, 5c, 5s, 6, and 6 plus. That also saves everything you say.  So in all seriousness as long as you turn off the voice recording feature, then you shouldn't worry about anything. But if you do keep it on you can use voice commands to get around the TV. You can use apps that you talk into like Talking Tom. So you can really use the TV any way you want as long as you feel comfortable with what you talk about near the TV.

Burglars Stealing Electronics From Schools and Student

At River Glen School in San Jose, California, the staff has been trying to raise money for the school to buy electronics to give to the students. The school was almost done with the fundraising to get the electronics, almost getting enough for each classroom. One night though, burglars came and stole two security carts holding 30 laptops and 30 iPads. The students were affected too, when walking home many students were mugged. The burglars could only mug iPads because they could deactivate a tracking device on it. another school has tried to prevent this though, with a safer security system. The security system can only be removed by Apple itself. The iPads will shut down if they try to connect to the internet without checking in with the school.

Japenese Hotel Staffed by Robots

This is a story about a hotel in Japan that has robot staff. The hotel is in Huis Ten Bosch a theme park. It is called Henn-na Hotel which means Strange hotel in english. The president of Japan says that they would build 1,000 similar hotels around the world in the future.

I chose this story because not every hotel has robot staff. I found it interesting because I didn’t know robots could be staff members. It was also interesting when it said that some robots are programmed to talk to visitors.

I found this story at http://www.cnn.com/2015/02/04/travel/japan-hotel-robots/index.html
